Oh man, oh man, this is so close to my experience. I went lo-fi since the beginning of 2017. Real testimonials of a drug/facebook/internet addict who has the problem out of control here. I killed my Facebook account 3 months ago,

Haha, maybe I'm out of date. I know that Microsoft has stepped up on their game, but I figure I can share my anecdotal experience. One year ago I was trying to get Windows 10 or something going on my computer as a backup system. So I w

Although having performance is nice, I don't think people buy Mac computers for performance. It's known that Mac computers are a couple of times more expensive than PCs running Windows for the same performance. I can understand th

It's the PixelQi display. I was impressed with the OLPC screen when I first saw it in person in 2009 or so. Just a year or two ago I decided to get a netbook and install one of them. It turned out to be not impressive at all, the scree

This is an awesome idea. The only thing I log in to my account is to literally run this in my head a couple of times a month. I usually have a couple of active credit cards with different due dates on them so this is at least annoying to ke

The telco companies cannot be more pathetic. AT&T still charges and still counts one RCS message as one MMS/SMS, on top of the standard data rate. Why is something like this, which relies completely on data, is still a technically

You are at the point of 2002-2004 of Desktop OS - if you want to use a mobile OSS OS, you're just have to deal with lots of inconveniences. It depends on what are you looking for and what you find tolerable. I have been annoyed with th

I don't mind the principles of it -- and I don't mind it in macOS. At least the menu is always there, the problem with unity is that it is hidden and will slowly appear when you hover the mouse on top. It's really hard to aim

I cannot wait for Unity to die, and now it does. I was not very happy when they decided to make Unity mac-like by moving the menu to the top bar. It has to be the most idiotic decision around for anyone who has multiple monitors. Even with

The last one is a very important paragraph to see the big picture. Without that, my comment might just be an isolated case and fear mongering. It is important to see although this door lock/car control/whatever problem is new, the

The whole amino-acids thing that the author talked about made me cringe a little bit. "Amino-acids" is just basically the fancy word for "proteins" (I know there are amino-acids that aren't proteins, but let's

While this is undoubtedly very impressive, I think it's just another logical step to what we've been seeing so far: - In the past, you needed to have a pianist at home to perform you a song, with the music box and then the phonogr

There is a huge misunderstanding here in the comments. From my understanding, this change just means that hangouts can no longer be used as an app that sends and receives SMS from the carrier. They used to think it is a good idea to have ev
