Love that the author heavily editorializes but cordons off the editorial into its own section. I would be happy to see that become a standard practice elsewhere.

You're not going to be able to stop your kids from doing anything unless you shackle them up nightly. However, you can stop them from doing it while under your roof and that significantly curtails their ability to take anything too far

I’m paying my own commute into the office. I take on the risk of auto travel at the busiest time of the day. I can’t get far enough on my lunch to truly take a break and I can still get fired for actions taken during lunch which makes it

I think a lot of people would argue against DEI because it takes the easy way out of a real problem. The result we want is more black doctors, but the way you should get to that is not changing standards that are not inherently racist. Th

HR needs to adopt a mantra similar to medicine’s “First, do no harm”. If there was any question over whether doctors would ever knowingly hurt patients, the entire profession would halve its patientload over night. Likewise, HR departments

With Visual Studio and C#, you can do that with a built-in wizard without even having to compile. It scares me how good C# is these days. Every killer feature of Rust and Lisp is already in C# or started there. Visual Studio makes VSCode lo

The business model contains dark patterns incentivizing patient deaths in many cases. It’s not that they’re turning a profit, it’s that they’re profiting off of death. If it was a break-even org (I.e. non-profit), people would likely have l

The reverse is arguably the one trait Rust is missing that is holding it back from mass adoption. You can write high-level C# code and seamlessly introduce low-level concepts into it as you see fit. However, although you can write low-level
