   YES! This was my original inspiration. I saw that and thought: What the heck - I can make that! And then I did :) I love the way they've painted it, though. And of course the below-water scenes. Just incredible.

   GORGEOUS. I saw one of these when I was at the architecture school... after I had already finished designing mine. I'd love to do another one like this - and I'd really love to do one with some underwater aspects.

   Oh hi! I'm the maker of the above-mentioned laser-cutter project. Thanks or the tip! I've never used a DEM, but the laser-cutter I used was at an Architecture school and they did have some superb examples of what you're talk
