Oh hi! I'm the maker of the above-mentioned laser-cutter project. Thanks or the tip! I've never used a DEM, but the laser-cutter I used was at an Architecture school and they did have some superb examples of what you're talking about. I agree that the layers were a bit thick.. 3mm to be exact. But I'm still pretty proud of how it turned out :) Edit: typo
