Well, that's why I'm holding on to my decades old Cherry PS/2 keyboard. No polling, no latency, no ghosting, no key rollover issues. Unfortunately the PS/2 port is becoming rare, I'm limited to MSI for my upcoming A

It's funny, anything I read about the hiring process of FAANG companies makes me not want to work there.

How many devs do they employ? How big is their cashflow? And still they fail to develop a glorified winamp that's not an exercise in frustration to use? The thing is bloated, slow and riddled with bugs that go years unfixed. Why take t

Myself and every (non-technical) user of Spotify I know complains about the horrible mobile and desktop apps. The android one is an absolute dog, even on mid to high end smartphones. If you neglect your core features in exchange for pointle

Stick with elasticsearch of course, it's "the real thing", made by the people who have been working on the product for over 11 years. That's what I do. I wouldn't touch things related to Amazon with a 10 feet pole.

The author clearly isn't as well informed as he thinks himself to be. And what a smug jab at Django... Better refer his blogpost to the dumpster where it belongs.

How is this different from vim + vimwiki which exists for ages and is very stable and mature? I don't like this "must rewrite everything in Lua" obsession that neovim has started. The neovim plugin landscape is now riddled wi

Same here! Under 40, and have been using debian, bash and vim for over 25 years in both my private and professional life (as a python dev). Oh and weechat for libera IRC of course ;)

Israel is an apartheid state. Stealing land and declaring a "jewish state" is no less criminal or insane than what isis / islamic state tried to do. Anti-zionism is not equal to anti-semitism. Just like I can criticize the US

I'm a long time (20+ years) vim user, and neovim doesn't fit my use case. I've tried it, most recently today, to have a look at LSP and treesitter. Treesitter added different syntax colors, but the result wasn't necessar

I've been writing python for a living for about 13 years now. I've dabbled in go, but found it incredibly verbose and of a much lower level than python. The error handling alone is enough to turn me off completely. So much boilerp
