If an innocent person is arrested because the police did not thoroughly examine the evidence, then the police officers and the prosecutor should be reviewed and criminally charged if they broke the law. No exceptions.

I think it's time for me to look for a new home, and just leave EU behind to rot. Kind of how people leave/left Putins Russia. Unlike Russia (where Putin eventually will have an "accident" or die of old age), I don'

That's why the super-rich have ranches in New Zealand now. When the revolution comes, they'll flee to safety far, far away, and let their pet politicians go up against the wall all alone.

Or even better; by federal law, cancel all bonuses, stock buyback and dividend for 3 years, for any company that leaked data about any person, anywhere in the world trough a data breach. And fine them accordingly, so the saved money don

I did some testing on Pulsar a while back to see how many shared consumers it could handle on a stream with 1000 msgs/sec. https://github.com/jgaa/pulsar-test-consumer-scale I was a bit disappointed by the result.

This list aligns with my personal bias when it comes to what makes sense in building great software. Ironically, one of the primary goals for a US startup I worked for recently was to rapidly increase the team size to show how successful th

I really don't understand why you use someones else's computer to compile and test your stuff. When their computers are compromised, by internal or external crooks, the crooks have full access to your code, and - in some cases - y

I don't care if I chat with a bot or a human. What's important is that I get access to support when I need it, and that the issue is resolved to my satisfaction. Waiting on the phone for a human to become available for a long time

I'm not tired of software subscriptions. I just avoid it 100%. I have principles. For software I prefer open source. If I can't find what I need, I write it.
