i really like their style too. it looks like they use mootools and jquery for most of the javascript effects, and as far as the look goes... you could play around with PNGs, bevels, gradients, and strokes to get a similar style.

Have you thought about how you might redefine what your higher purpose is? I think that is the source of the problem. Your reason for existence is not merely to be productive.

My personal taste is similar to yours, but I've learned the hard way that your visual design should be shaped specifically for the market you are targeting.

As a longtime user of Fabchannel, I'm disappointed by all this. The future looks bleak for labels unwilling to embrace what their real customers, music fans, want. Instead of turning to fear and taking defensive measures, they should be tak

The author isn't risking much on this article, and the title is straight up linkbait. No real data given to back these claims either, of course.

I think Mike bounced the message off his wife as part of the strategy to not come off as a self-promoter (see: Twitter girl).

A million dollars? Over 50% of Americans have less than $25k in retirement funds. Even 40% of ages 55+ have less than $25k... Obviously no one literally lost their retirement (as long as there's a penny in there, right?), but all I was tr

Sure, but it really sucks for a whole lot more people who are not just starting out and have lost their retirement. I would be more sensitive about that.

No, I agree with your point. I just take it further by holding consumers responsible for fueling that violence when they could have done otherwise, not contributed to demand by obeying the laws.

I don't think I'm arguing for the other side. The other side argues: a) because illegal drugs should be legal (at this point in time), b) contributing to demand by buying or selling illegal drugs is acceptable (at this point in time).

The thing that irks me most about discussions on the internet like this regarding the illegal drug trade, is that this is just "intellectual" conversation to most. People are dying and families are being destroyed. Blame the system, argue t
