I think you’re assuming tabula rasa here; that there is no innate human nature, that everything is socially constructed. If there is such a thing as an innate, biologically derived measure of attractiveness, then your point doesn’t really h

Thanks for the explanation. Something that is absolute needs an absolute reference frame, in other words. Here you’re saying that the absolute reference frame is what God intends. I’m not sure that there is such an absolute reference frame

> If, on the other hand, moral rules and ethics are due to the natures of things then there must be someone who intended things to exist in the manner they are intended to exist. This is not at all clear to me. Can you clarify?

Balanced vs. ill health due to old age and dying earlier in your child’s life. I’ll agree that having children somewhat later, circa thirties, is better due to stability than twenties, but pushing into the forties is too much for me.

YMMV there. This is assuming that everyone is the same and these are absolutes, they are not. Every trait is a distribution.

The pace of change over the last century makes the pace over the last few thousand years look like a crawl. Agriculture was not invented and brought to the point of industrialisation within a single human lifetime. I’d wager that spoken lan

That’s more a value system, or maybe an ideology, than a religion. Though I’ll agree the two do more or less occupy the same cognitive space. There is no need for anything mystical to be involved. Today we are experimenting with new phenome

I think his view is fairly correct. I also don’t see it as being negative, you’re making your own value judgement equating commitment with positivity. Men do tend to want to have a lot of partners, and many of those who can, do.

This is how I feel as well. Hype takes on a life of it’s own as it becomes fashionable to repeat other people’s talking points about a technology you know nothing about, have never used and have never critically considered. But that’s sort

There is no official cross platform desktop GUI solution for .NET core. There are third party efforts however, take a look at avalonia and eto.forms. Or alternatively think of doing a web app in ASP.NET core. If you don’t need a bells and w

Funny you should mention drag drop, it’s now built in as of version 7, just released a few days ago. Look up the CDK for more details. Whenever I’ve needed drag and drop functionality in the past I’ve found it in existing UI components. A f

Non-narcissist here, apparently. I do find the premise somewhat troubling. If you’re supremely confident and never doubt yourself, even in situations where you should, you could be described as a narcissist. And if you’re lacking in self-co

I can’t say I’ve had that much trouble bringing in third party libraries, nor have I had a need to change how the framework works internally. I think this is the same as with most frameworks, you tend to just use them rather than doing stuf

Sure, there are lots of Angular 1 apps still in production, as there will be with most legacy systems. My point is that Angular 1 is no longer the current version, and with the latest version it’s much better to use. I think the main issue

I think the Angular resentment is a little behind the times, the days of Angularjs 1 and the beta versions of Angular 2 are behind us. The new Angular is worth a look, especially if react is now having various extras bolted on ad hoc.

Put it through a process to solidify it. You may be able to extract other useful gasses from the air to help with this. If the end result were stable, either put it in landfill or use it as fuel, so it becomes an energy reservoir. Then it’s
