Agreed. They finally have an "express" version but even that was $199. I'm sorry but I'm not going to pay that much money for something that I may never even use, especially for a stripped down version of it.

RabbitMQ is written in Erlang which definitely supports threads (called processes) and are actually built into the BEAM. I think it is a strong candidate for what Erlang brings to the table and I think while you could do it in a native lang

If that is the case, what benefits do you see in switching? I'm genuinely curious.

I don't use Atom but I do use Visual Studio Code (which is also Electron based). I use it because there are no real IDEs for Elixir and navigation is amazing. It is also lightweight (compared to JetBrains' IDEs). Another big plus

I installed Fedora 26 as the only OS on my laptop and I am very impressed. I don't miss Windows at all. I have played with Ubuntu in the past but Fedora blows that out of the water.

Yes. I'm bound to Word because that is what the publisher uses and has their templates in. If it was self publish then I would've been using Latex (or maybe even markdown) the whole time.

That's a good one. Once I started making use of that my functions are a lot smaller and cleaner. To add to Elixir, I would say the ease of interoping with Erlang. It allows me to easily take advantage of the massive Erlang libraries th

It doesn't have to be a bubble for the SEC to issue something. After all, most of the ICOs seem like attempts to skirt SEC regulation in order to raise money and they see that too.
