Hi HN. I built Forgo because React is no longer "it's just JS" (actually it never was). The patterns, practices and vocabulary used in the React ecosystem present considerable hurdles to a newbie - hooks, reducers, actions, f

ForgoJS: a 4KB React alternative that gets rid of framework specific DOM access techniques and state management. For example: let people use closures for managing component state rather than something new like hooks. Here's a preview:

They don't owe you anything, but for many popular devices support extends to years. There are many devices on their support list which are 8 years old or more. (eg: Galaxy S4 from 2013, yet running 17.1). PinePhone is great, but it cer

I think we really need a break from people submitting more M1 Mac unboxing articles, unless there's significant original technical content. This is turning into fanboyism.

Europe just signed a massive $1T trade deal with narrow, short term goals [1]. All of this is helping their massive military modernization, which just last week usurped more powers to intervene internally and externally [2]. [1]: https:&#x

That's a very broad interpretation of disappearance and I don't agree with it. NATO isn't in the business of disappearing people either - Assange and Snowden have not disappeared. But Gedhun Choekyi Nyima has disappeared. Kid

I have bet my startup on the future of git, as a decentralised store for personal data. My view is that git hasn’t peaked at all in terms of usage, and currently only serves the developer niche - while its future might be as a store of pers
