I think this post should be flagged. Neither RobSpectre or the Brooklyn Hacker were there, and this post is mainly just a one-sided attack on RMS by someone who ... wasn't there. I expect this crap from Reddit, not from Hacker News.

Here is a political scientist with a strong climate science background discussing how Sandy is at this moment, is #17 in terms of all time damage, but could move into the top 10. http://rogerpielkejr.blogspot.com/2012/10/sandy-and-top-20-n

Why are the backup generators on the 17th floor and not the 3rd floor? Assuming there is a very good reason for that, Why wasn't there an additional pumping room on the 3rd floor, pre-built, with a legal amount of diesel in reserve, and a

This article is entire speculation (Hint: it's gaseous). It could be patents, but it doesn't prove that it is by any measure. I would like to see multiple users on phones, because I would love to put my phone in guest mode whenever someone

I would like someone to confirm that is Steve Job's Yacht and that he was involved in the design process. That yacht seems the antithesis of a Jobsian yacht. Ostentatious. Gaudy. A landlubber's office complex on water. Features and design t

I deleted Sugar when on Android it was taking up a significant amount of battery and cycle -- and it was basically doing nothing to do that. Have they fixed that? Is it better on battery on Android now?

Interesting article, along with the comment on it. As a man in the tech industry, I saw sexism quite a long time ago -- in that a coworker benefited from a pay lawsuit. But that was several decades ago. I haven't seen much sexism in the ind
