Even if an area is pre-mapped, if you're operating on public streets you need to handle all sorts of unusual things. Here's a Cruise video recorded in 2016 on SF streets, showing a tricky interactions with buses, stopped delivery

I think there's some chance that Tesla's approach will work out for them, but I'm not optimistic. Getting self-driving software to "impressively good" happened pretty quickly, and even systems from 2016 would usual

Thanks for the tip! (I'm very conflicted about learning new things that make shell more convenient: I don't need more things pushing me toward using this in-many-ways-horrible-but-I'm-so-fast-with-it tool.)

In this case a big part of the problem seems to be that OP has 2fa enabled but set to a phone number they don't have access to anymore. This is a really tricky situation for any provider to handle.

Back when I worked on mod_pagespeed we wrote shell scripts for our end-to-end tests. This was expedient when getting started, but then we just kept using it long past when we should have switched away. At one point I got buy-in for switch

My experience is that Gemini is overly willing to admit it was wrong, but (currently; it used to be worse) won't start saying false things in response to correction. I just tested your examples: * "What color is the sky?"

Tech support is entirely optional, and I only do it to the extent that I enjoy it. (Or, when at one point I had a job as an open source developer, to the extent that I thought it would improve our software.)

I've been an open source maintainer (and still am to a smaller degree) and I think sneak is right. I'm happy for people to use things I create and release, and their use doesn't impose costs on me.
