Even worse, the commercial time seemed to pick up the same time they started betaing Hulu Plus. That's why I dropped it after two months.

I'm not arguing for Kings mind you, but I will say that it seems all publishers want to become content owners. And if the current content owners don't want to run the site, I find it difficult to imagine they're going to stay with it foreve

Has Amazon dipped its toes into content production before? Then again, I'm still occasionally surprised by the Kindle.

The production of Apocalypse Now was by any account HELL. Far worse than any game development example I can think of. (Well, DNF jokes spring to mind, but at least they essentially built multiple games there. Apocalypse Now wasn't released

I speak from a point of ignorance, I've never worked in the field. That said, if a project requires months of unplanned crunch time, it wasn't perfectly run. And I don't think anyone would say that crunch isn't commonplace. (At least, I thi

I almost chastised the submitter, but then clicked and saw that the "fanbois/fans" bit was actually the title in the article. That's always annoying to me. (And I don't even use Apple's stuff.)

I find it interesting some of the stories that get more upvotes here. Is there anyone here that's actually in favor of this? I'm curious to know why. (And I'll be polite about it.) Maybe it's just cynicism?

Location, location, location. I have the workplace for work. While I share an apartment with my brother, I have my kitchen to cook, my bedroom to sleep in, my living room for entertainment. I'd like a quiet place to go to write, or maybe ge

You're not wrong that "some customers are harder to sell to than others." But that's a problem anyone trying to sell something faces. Also worth noting is that he talks about the disproportionate number of games pirated to games sold across

I agree with you completely; if we don't get over this, more people will be murdered in prison! Okay, I jest. But you're absolutely right anyway. It annoys me as an American, and I'm the one with all the good fortune in this case! That a TV

I'd like to point this out: http://blog.wolfire.com/2010/05/Another-view-of-game-piracy To quote: The highest estimate I've seen is that 10% of worldwide iPhones are jailbroken. Given that there are so few jailbroken phones, how can we e

Ah yes, poor Microsoft, the lowly company that only makes billions a quarter. Don't get me wrong, your point on stagnation isn't totally missed, but do we really still need eternal growth to be "successful?"

My "quick writing" didn't do me many favors. Aiming at business and then calling it "Friend" may be mixed messages. ContactWith? ContactInto? Or maybe aim it at friends, and stick with the other... But, yeah, you get the idea.
