I was under the impression the point of at will employment is that you don't need a reason to fire someone. That's why most companies don't give reasons, or if they do they're generic and meaningless: i.e. "this isn

Pachyderm, a project I work on, is probably as close as you'll find to something that ties all 3 together. In my mind the major unsolved problem here was the data versioning so that's the first thing we tackled. Code versioning is

My sense is that CometML is tackling some but not all of the problems you're talking about here. Specifically I think it's pretty focused on tracking ML models so you can keep track of how models are performing, how they're i

Discrimination is an act by one human against another. You can't tell just from looking at ratio of the broader Asian population and Harvard's Asian population whether or not they're discriminating. Human behavior is subtle,

I've never seen anything mentioning that so it seems dubious to me. But it looks like there was a motion filed in court claiming this [0]. Not sure what ever came of it, but I assumed Google would turn up more if it had been confirmed.

Sure, let me first say though that there's so much misinformation surrounding that particular event that I'm not really willing to 100% trust anything at this point. I'm always ready to find out what I think I know about the

This isn't limited to the immediate aftermath either. I recently learned that almost everything I thought I knew about the Columbine shooting was actually not true. The narrative of a shooting quickly takes on a life of its own.

Adding an "A" to STEM is replacing STEM with STEAM. If it wasn't about replacement the post would be about a new word, STEAM. Or, there wouldn't be a post at all, OP would just start using STEAM.

Opposites may have been the wrong word here. But STEM expresses a concept which arts are very much not part of. > I think the question is more about the merits of STEAM as “the goal” versus “STEM”. Neither of these is a goal, they'r

The viewpoint being addressed here is what exactly? That STEM is a useful word with a meaning? I think rather than "trying to address" this viewpoint it might be more accurate to say you're trying to squash this viewpoint and

This is a truly awful idea. You can't add an "A" to "STEM," you can introduce a new word, "STEAM" with a different meaning, but the word "STEM" will still exist, and will still have the same mean

I sincerely hope that this was Trump's reasoning for the ban. He was so sick and tired of having to muddle through Broadcom's undocumented garbage that he just got fed up and decided to spike their acquisition.
