I would have said that Japan was not great for solar but surprisingly (to me) they have almost 20X more solar energy produced than wind. Renewable sources of electricity would seem to be solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biomass, and nuclear.

I finally (after a year) got my Bolt EUV with the lesser (200,000 miles of roads instead of 400,000) version of GM's SuperCruise. I've used it to drive 250 miles for a long weekend with my wife, then the 250 miles back home. Volu

A couple of benefits to the apps: one is that you get exact information on the charging session. The bigger benefit is that some charging stations will stop charging once your battery is "full", wait a bit, then start charging an

When the realtor called to say that the previous offer had fallen through and wanted us to buy, he said a couple of times that the owner didn't have to have flood insurance. We hadn't said anything about flood insurance. So it se

Plus another $24 or so in fees. I seem to remember there not being any fees the first time I signed up, which was over two years ago but they were there 18 months ago. I’m assuming they didn’t charge them at the start to make the price more

It seems like this is great for producing a car as cheaply as possible. If one of those 3 parts (front casting, rear casting, structural battery) is damaged in a wreck, it seems probable that the car would be totaled by the insurance compa

I've had a Chevy Bolt EUV for 3 weeks. We are moving to a new house that has a 240V outlet in the garage. This house does not, so I'm using the stock Chevy portable charging cable with the 110V adapter, not the 240V one. Settin

On the grid issues: it seems like battery storage is either massive or individual. What doesn't seem to be happening is battery storage at the substation level. It would take planning but substation batteries could run low during th

Came here to post something similar. I just got a Bolt EUV, which does 0-60 in 7 seconds, plenty fast enough to get me in trouble. I'd pay $90 to have a month of driving 0-60 in 3 or 4 seconds to impress my in-laws. After that, exp
