Rider for sure. I commonly see mistakes in code reviews that likely wouldn’t have happened if they were using an IDE that provided more information. Once Rider and dotnet core liberated my work from Windows, I don’t see myself going back to

I grew up awkward and introverted, with awkward and introverted parents. When I finished college and moved to a new city, I intentionally put myself in situations where I had to socialize. I created a Couchsurfing account and hosted people

Somewhere in-between atheist and pantheistic here. My primary practice is Walking. Other rituals will come and go, but taking a walk can help out almost anything that’s going on in life. Really big walks, like hiking for days in the backcou

No, not a SPA. There is a concept of a single file app (SFA). You can share an html file, and that is the application. It can have inlined micro js/css frameworks, or hand-rolled everything. An SFA should be human readable though- view

It makes me wonder, when I draw a line in the sand with a clerk, how often they just enter junk data into the system so they can get on with their shift.

People who have maintained these systems know the level of pain is much worse than nearly any codebase. No code solutions that end up mission-critical can stay active for decades. We have solutions from the 90s that, thank the heavens, I do

We cut out standup a few sprints ago. We replaced it with an automated post on our team’s channel, and we leave a comment in the thread with statements for “yesterday” “today” and “blockers”. Everyone on the team loves it. To compensate for

I agree. We’ve built automation that ingests geocoding data from multiple services, and keeps the system up to date. The models for an “Address“ get complex, a single entity can have many different types of addresses.

You can go ahead and bury that hope. Unless you want to live in denial, you are definitely snubbing if you are using your phone to escape interactions with others.

Update: The UI was unusable for me on an iPhone SE 2020. Lots of buttns cut off, labels overlapping. May look into the issues for this later to make sure there hasn’t been one created yet.
