This mom previously tried to raise $20k to make...capes. How much of this $20k+ do you think the 9 yr. old is getting? She's also spamming celebs and women's groups on twitter - http://i.imgur.com/b4l2fI2.png . I'd be happy to back a child

Brilliant way to capitalize on recent news by this mom. Smart lady. Her daughter will be thrilled when she finds out enough money was raised for her to attend the camp. As for the rest of the money...

Lack of progressive thought on diversity? If you want an argument about dongle jokes creating an unwelcoming environment look elsewhere. The most sensitive among us don't set the rules. https://amandablumwords.wordpress.com/2013/03/21/3/

Maybe the part you're missing is that the jokes aren't the unusual part. Just run of the mill banter between a couple guys when maybe they should have been quiet so they weren't distracting people from listening. Tweeting a photo to shame p

This is really the best thing for her even if it doesn't seem like it now. She can focus on the issues she cares about and get better at promoting those.

No I don't think she was trying to get anyone fired and did not mean to imply that. She just decided to create a mess and try to turn this into something about sexism. I can't know her intentions but my guess is that her passion for this is

It's pretty obvious - she was able to get a guy fired for making a Jr. High joke to his friend (sexual joke, not sexist) and stir up a hornets nest with a simple tweet.

"Has she expressed any glee over these firings?" No, but she did compare herself to Joan of Arc and say that she stepped up when the future of women in tech was on the line. A tad bit dramatic.

"What exactly are you asking us to infer here?" That in this situation she's playing a victim when she's actually the one with the power. Granted, old tweet.

For those keeping score, this is also OK: @adriarichards Black people CANNOT be racist against White people. Racism is a position of the oppressor who has the power - http://i.imgur.com/ou8JZVu.jpg

Saw this mentioned in another thread and it's a great point. SendGrid is going to back her 100%. They now realize, if they didn't before, that they have a risky employee on their hands - the type that would sue them and make a huge public s

In other news, productivity begins to pick back up at Playhaven as employees are just about finished scrubbing their social media accounts. Rest assured, all references to forking repo's, dongles and other "gender equality" issues have been

The simplest way I can explain this to you is that for various reasons some people enjoy conforming, others don't. And, this case highlights different things about the "real world" to different people.

A few comments are making an issue of the pricing (2% + Stripe's 2.9%) saying it's too high. It's not too high. If the product does it's job and makes it dead simple for the end user it might even be too low. As mentioned by someone else, t

Good point - I was equating the rarity of the action w/ it being a genuine demonstration. The demonstration of showing such commitment by going "all in", at least in poker, isn't really meaningful. It's a function of math and happens all th
