Yet corn hybrid production, which requires strict controls on pollination, is made to work. Is there a difference with hemp pollen or is the problem on the regulatory side?

I get your point because I'm also quite like that, but the reality is that I've spent all of 2024 in dead-end interviews and got no results other than wasting time. In hindsight, "had I had the crystal ball", it would ha

I don't get it? What's the purpose of changing the default rule in shadow-utils. Not only is it completely unnecessary and introduces risks for shell injections, it also risks introducing incompatibilities between Debian and any o

Tangentially related, I've been doing video art, both analog and digital, and there is a quality in analog video that cannot be replicated by digital processing (at least not yet). In addition, every camera and device has it's own

People are now corrupting mpeg video intentionally. They call it "datamoshing". And of course there is glitch art, and the "vhs look" filter being (over) used everywhere.

Yes, but I meant it in the most abstract, conceptual sense. There is no easy way to replace short-circuit operators in an eager-evaluation language but it can still be done. E.g. "(a() || b())" could be replaced by "or(a, b)&

They are all just functions. There is really no distinction between an operator and a function in programming languages. And by using currying you could even do with just unary operators.

I don't understand. ScanOSS has a bot that scans ScanOSS's own repo, so what's the issue? What I see is that the bot was badly programmed and it did not ignore quoted text, so the first automated report triggered another bot

It would be great to have examples with I/O and timers/sleeps, since this is what people will likely use the library for. Also, communication between tasks. I tried getting into C++ coroutines in the past and I was put off because

Every time I used IPv6 I found it solved more problems than it created. E.g. with v6 you can make sure a VPN addresses will not collide with the user's actual address. No more nats or port forwadings, etc. The main problem is that v4 h
