Enabling devs to do development work on their local machines with Keycloak in the stack is... fun /s.

Wife and I were broke college students when we got married. Reception consisted of cake and refreshments (no meal) in the basement of the church after the ceremony -- no assigned seating. Then a few nights in a local (though pretty nice)

I'm wondering if a constraint solving library like optaplanner could help here - believe it uses simulated annealing. Hey, maybe a use case for Dwave? j/k.

I didn't have to fight with (or even know about) things like IRQ jumpers and Expanded memory management on the Amiga. That was kinda nice :/ Sure, the PC had superior graphics and sound by the 486 era, but it was not a pleasant

As a kid, I remember upgrading from the Apple ][ to the Amiga 500. The Amiga was a superior machine in every way. I could do more with Amos than I ever could with Integer BASIC :) Moving from an Amiga 1200 to a 486SX with Windows 3.1 afte

I'd like to see a modern refresh of Civ2, which IMO is still the best in the series. Just update the graphics/sound/UI and leave the rest as-is.

Nah, we'll get our SS checks - the Fed will turn the money printer up to 11 if they have to cover the program. Inflation will make them worthless, but we'll get our checks :)

I'm sure the military still has a SSN field on EVERY. SINGLE. FORM. they have you fill out while you're in the service. There was talk of replacing that with a "service number" but somehow I doubt they've got aroun

No idea. I use IntelliJ for Java/Kotlin and emacs for everything else (Clojure, Python, JS, etc). I still encounter the occasional lunatic who uses eclipse or netbeans. I know VSCode is the "standard" editor for front-end d

Kotlin is the closest thing to a "better Java" that I've found. I've used it with Spring Boot and the interoperability with Java is fantastic. A Java dev would have no problem picking it up quickly (as opposed to Clojur
