Yeah, there are number of people I know who are otherwise intelligent who seem to blame almost every minor ailment they have on being "dehydrated". And when I say I'm not dehydrated because I have 2 small glasses of water, 2

Again, the problem is only partly the app permissions. The problem is the license that forces you to basically agree that the app can trawl through all of your personal data and do whatever they like with it. If they had carefully enumerate

It's not the app permissions that are the problem, it's the attitude of the licence which is basically we'll help ourself to whatever personal data we feel like and do whatever we like with it.

Now all they have to do is figure out how to build debian without systemd in and I might consider using it again.

You remove the marginal disincentive to work at the low income end. This is good. However you add a large incentive to give up work at the higher end. As an example, I own a house in london. I'm by no means rich but I have a fairly dec

This is self evident. Secondly nobody can argue that there are less things in the world that we want to do than there were 100 years ago. They are not the same jobs but can anyone really argue that nope, there is nothing left to do. Of cour

I hate all this web stuff so much. It's slowly reinventing the last 40 years of computing, only a slow, badly designed, unreliable base.

No, I will do this. Because it's so much easier and it still lets me test 95% of my code. And the alternative is not testing at all because there is limited time for testing and setting up a proper database for this is so much more

Or perhaps "owner" would do. It might not be what you would like but they own the place so it's their right to do what they like with it. Of course when they ruin it, it just opens up competition for more enlightened compaies

What? No. This is exactly how it's always worked and there have been few issues. You touch in and out with the same card. Now you have to use the same device. There is nothing to report here.

On the plus side, once you've found somewhere you like you can stay there as long as you want. If you rent it's up to the owner how long you can live there

The money is certainly important. But buying is better than renting in many ways. Want to rip out your kitchen and have a new one? Want to pave part of the garden? Want to move a wall? Want to paint it all, or fit blinds? If you own it you

Give me $1000 a month and I'd be able to retire. I wouldn't be rich but with savings and so on I'd be able to manage. So it would cost perhaps $30000 more than that in lost income taxes too as well as lost productivity. I ima
