- vincentkriek 12y agoThe point is that London is driving it's lower income citizen's to accommodations like this. And London needs this citizen's just as hard as the higher paid individuals.
- gadders 12y agoLondon has a pretty decent infrastructure for commuting. Buses/tubes/trains/light railways etc. Perhaps they just don't want to get up an hour earlier?
- littletimmy 12y agoYes people don't want to sacrifice their time to account for the failed policies that led to a housing shortage. What a shocker.
- gadders 12y agoWell, they're trading their time for living in unpleasant accommodation. If their time is more important to them than where they live then fair enough. But they should admit it is a conscious trade-off.
- joshuaheard 12y agoIf only there was a way they could be productive while riding the train into town...
- esja 12y agoYou may have noticed that everywhere commutable became 20% more expensive last year. There is only so far people can move.
- gadders 12y agoI don't think my season ticket went up by that much.
- VLM 12y ago"And London needs this citizen's just as hard as the higher paid individuals." Apparently not.
- gadders 12y agoPretty much. You have no more right to an expensive house than you do to an expensive car.
- jbb555 12y agoOk I probably put that badly, I do have some sympathy really :) But my point is that perhaps you cant afford to live there so go somewhere cheaper. I'm not in a position to live everywhere I want to so I live somewhere I can afford. There are places much cheaper than London.
