The article referenced is an example of propaganda by selecting the facts that fit the narrative. The authors conveniently fail to mention that there some areas on Earth that are actually cooling (Antarctica being the prime example [1], but

Hmm, I did not know "going to parades, events... and so on" was considered working? That's probably how Marissa Mayer was "working" 130 hrs/week :-)

"regularly putting in 12 hour days 6 days per week" "Play hard" after 72 hours of working? They must be super-human. What about, you know, er, human contact? Like spending time with your family and friends?

They have shifted over the past years, from small-business, fair/relatively-free market stance towards elitism/globalism. My subscription is up in January, and -for the first time in 25 years- will NOT be renewed.

The one quote I was able to get - $6K, labor only. No more than 2 days of work for 1 person. All plumbers based within 10 min drive.

I want to say one word to you. Just one word: Plumbing. [quote from "The Graduate"] :-) Seriously though: I have been begging plumbers to come and work on a reasonably high-priced project at my house. I reached out to 10+, no on

Perhaps there are other ways of making money for the university, which are better aligned with the purpose of academia? One such example is cooperation on research projects with the industry (which actually works pretty well), but I am sure

I agree with you, but I also think living on campus has at least one big advantage - promotes exchange of ideas and discussion with fellow students. Think about it as Aristotle's Lyceum/Gardens ;-)

i would be wary quoting discredited outfit such as WaPo for proof. Of course they want Bannon to look bad - he is their political enemy. There is not much info in the WaPo article other than out-of-context, partial quotes and innuendo.
