FUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK! This is horrible news. This comment will likely get down voted, but this is my authentic comment on the story. I am having a very negative emotional reaction to the news. Especially the part about not further developing n

I think this is a great idea, but Googling seems like such an inefficient method. Using the email address to grab avatars from Gravatar, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter is a much better idea. Those customers have already publicly identified

"we’ve come to expect precise and sequential product naming from Apple - the iPhone, followed by the iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, and 4S." I think Apple is correcting a mistake that they made. Most Apple laptop owners have no idea what generation pro

Appreciating assets don't count as income. They very well may be minimizing income while still maintaining growth. When they sell those assets, they make the list.

No, he is saying that $1B in wealth (about 400 people) generates $77m (threshold to make list of highest earners) in income assuming a 7.7% rate of return (which seems unrealistically high to me).

Exactly. It also tells us most of those winners didn't win last year and won't will next year. The 16% capital gain figure isn't saying that rich people consistently earn that much from capital gains every year, but rather the 400 highest e

He got the Bootstrap usage completely wrong. The icon gives you access to the top-level menu items on smaller screens. Nothing to do with "settings".

A gear would be incredibly inappropriate in twitter bootstrap. In bootstrap, that icon appears when the menu gets condensed due to a smaller screen size. It is access to the list of menu items. Look at the example on the Bootstrap site: ht

For me, HackerNews is Edu-tainment. I learn some stuff, but I wouldn't classify it as productive time. However, I have read some things here that have had a great impact on my life and/or business.
