There's a whole field called creative computing that is chock full of these types of unicorns. Memo Atken is one, http://memo.tv/ John Maeda etc.

I live half the year in Vietnam, half the year in NYC. I'm mildly frugal, but Vietnam still runs me about $2K a month, $1.2k if I don't leave my apartment. NYC, a frugal month costs me $3.5k. SE Asia is cheap, but its not as cheap as peop

I love the shit out of this site. I use it all the time. Happy to see it's from HNers. I have nothing constructive to add, other than I prefer this to HipMunk.

I think it depends on how you "grew up" as a developer. Being "raised" in a Windows(tm) and OSX environment, alt-tabbing is a natural process, where maybe coming from an terminal/xwindows existence you are accustomed to the screen being ca

Not only that, but an OOP version of Pascal created by Apple with input from Niklaus Wirth. I love Pascal. Clean, concise, rigid, fast. Haven't touched it in 10 years though.

The term Third World doesn't really mean anything any more. It originally meant that a country was not-aligned with NATO, and was neutral towards communism and capitalism. It just so happened that the countries on that list tended to be

I don't think he's saying it should stop. If the system becomes log jammed with cases there would be an obvious prioritization and you would see the nonsense we saw with the Schwartz case be a non-issue.

They're the same image sizes we use today. And it was instantaneous, or relatively so in comparison to Photoshop 3 - which couldn't edit the images at all due to size. We would have to use a plugin to work on parts of an image most times.
