To be fair it's still in progress. It's debatable whether that's a good or bad thing. Given how strong the Twitter brand is, it could be a good thing. But the question remains: what do you now call tweets? Such strong marketi

I second LemonSqueezy. They're a bit new, but are going in the right direction. Stripe isn't available in my country anyway. PayPal's dev experience was quite bad, but trying to do business with them was virtually impossible.

Ranking algorithms should help with this, working on human feedback. Pages that spew badly generated text likely won't rank well on the top search engines. The big LLM names, such as OpenAI, would probably partner (e.g. with Microsoft)

Somewhat related, you can call Nim code from Node.js/Bun using Denim: https://github.com/openpeeps/denim . It works by creating a Node add-on. This is great for reusing Nim code in a web app, and possibly for perfo

The cost to compute these language models should eventually lower. Will OpenAI then release more frequently, or release larger LLMs? They'll probably to try achieve both goals in some proportion.

This is healthy skepticism and the acknowledgement that there are lots of free tools out there. You need to be much better than what's freely available. You need to persuade buyers to buy when they don't want to. I don't thin

I don't use AirBnB much, but one place I booked didn't exist when I got there. It was in a different country. I was lucky to find a place to stay that evening.

I was comparing various ways of boosting my nitric oxide at the time. I could see it visibly (increased red complexion) and my cognition also improved. Subjective, yes, but that was good enough.

I took beetroot as a supplement, it worked well. Ginkgo Biloba also increases nitric oxide. I've had negative effects from strong antioxidant supplements before. I think there could be a lot of reasons why.

The job board was also a finished product. They could have automated just about anything manual, and kept it going with a small team. For the brand promotion alone it was worth it to keep it going.

I found an article: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200728005330/en/Sta... They're investing in teams and knowledge management. Sounds like they're going after the Enterprise.

Losing money while growing revenue isn't necessarily a bad thing. This can be caused by growth investing, and is often the right thing to do. Amazon is a famous example of this line of thinking.

There are always posts on r/algotrading that debate this sort of thing. As in, can it work or not? There are always those that have found some success, even if it doesn't always last. Full link: https://reddit.com/

If this is true, I have some theories: - The quality is more random than people would like. - OpenAI made performance tweaks that caused the quality to drop.

One thing I vehemently disagree with is the crazy hours he makes his employees work. I think it's wrong from a people perspective in general, and as a programmer I think this could only lead to bad outcomes.

When someone is that successful a lot of people will try and write them off. I wrote in another comment, I don't agree with everything he says or does. But he is undoubtedly in the firing line.

I typically rely on the framework to have a tool to do this. When I wrote my own framework, Nexus (for Nim), I wrote a CLI for this sort of thing. It uses variables in naming things, and is quite specialized. I don't think I could use

Does anyone know why Bun (without --smol) sometimes uses much more memory than Node? Is this due to not being v1 yet? I'm also wondering if some old benchmarks could now be irrelevant.

There's likely no reason for GPT-4 to get worse, other than perception and some bad luck. I think the real problem is unevenness of its performance. I've had ChatGPT (3.5 and now 4) tell me it could help with problem X, then that
