I hear you on the safety angle, but chainsaws work really well. They're also very versatile.

I've used Ubuntu for many things for many years. I'm not swearing off it, necessarily. But I'm using Arch a lot more these days.

This seems to be mostly a discussion in good faith, so I'm going to engage. There is definitely some ambiguity around the definition, and that's because DEI isn't law. Particularly in the context of this discussion, different

I agree about the skis. I think one important difference from the golf clubs is that they've enabled the really talented people to take things to a level previously unimaginable. Big mountain skiing is pretty bananas these days.

Yep. And Juniper, too. And Sequoia, which I don't believe are technically redwoods if we want to split hairs. And a bunch of cool oaks.

I agree, although I don't know that it's specifically a chronological function. I'm starting to think of aging as just an accumulation of abuse and trauma. Maybe that's physiological - sun exposure, broken bones that did

This thought experiment has at least one very useful practical application, and the timing of your comment is quite the coincidence. I'm getting ready to heat up a differential pinion bearing retainer (Ford 9" style) in a toaster

I agree that Keep is pretty good. I switched over to Carnet when I setup my nextcloud. It's OK, but not as good as Keep.

I don't see why the supreme court couldn't rule a lot of these departments unconstitutional. The justification for many of them is flimsy at best, and seems to be to be in direct contradiction to the "only those rights specif

I agree with calling out the hypocrisy of the parent comment, but this reply seems to be taking things a little far the other direction. On the Western side, it's a cesspool culture, but on the Chinese side it's good business?

I've been buying the Samsung QB series at work lately. They're advertised as signage, and do function in more or less "dumb" mode - they work fine with no network connection. But they do run Tizen OS, which is less dumb
