How do you know the supplier didn't order "legally harvested" wood? If they did, then why is it more appropriate to hold them liable than the end user?

I'm not sure where you're getting the billions in taxpayer cost per rocket. It sounds like to date SpaceX has spent a few billion on the whole program. They did receive a ~$3B contract for Artemis, but as I understand it, that

I don't think there's any particular problem with rotating the engine in reverse while it's off, but on most manual transmissions that I'm aware of, first and reverse ratios are pretty similar, so likely not much to be g

The way I read it is that instead of trying to upgrade directly from 98 to XP, they went from 98 to 2000, and then to XP.

This is a nitpick for sure, but as I understand it, electric motors provide pretty much constant torque throughout their operating range, which is one of their benefits. It's the speed of the motor that varies, and consequently the pow

The recycled plastic may, indeed, be worse than "virgin", but any plastic melting in your food seems ill advised. I'm not a zealot refusing to drink out of a plastic cup, but spatulas see a lot more heat than most cookware. M

Not the person you're replying to, but here's my $0.02. We have a couple stainless frying pans that we've had for a long time, and I've never been much a fan of them. I find they stick pretty bad no matter what procedure

It would be cool to intercept the input from a webcam, transform it like this, and then present it to the OS as another virtual camera so you could select it in Teams or Zoom or whatever.

I realize this isn't the case for everyone, but I already have a large propane tank that supplies the house. My generator is tied in to that. So I'm not storing fuel specifically for the generator, but if it came down to it I coul

I gave this an upvote, because it seems like a plausible scenario and I had the same question. I have to say though, it feels a little uncomfortable upvoting a comment about rape.

This occasionally annoys me. Sometimes I'll actually be searching for a product and see just what I'm looking for in the sponsored results. It doesn't annoy me enough to get rid of the pihole, though.

This is how I do it also. Sometimes if I feel like changing the partition layout for some reason, I partition the new drive first and use dd offsets to copy the partitions one at a time. And of course you may need to resize the filesystem(s

You could get one of those bluetooth things that plugs in to your cigarette lighter and broadcasts music on a free FM channel. We have a couple and they work pretty well.

You've said it twice, and I'll reiterate it a third time. Your own well being has to come first. You can't deliver on the rest of your commitments if you neglect your own needs. Being a martyr does not serve those who depend
