To me, the door of the building seems to be a pretty clear line. For a fixed location job, the commute is fully under control of the employee and fair not to count as hours. For variable location jobs like in construction, my view is that p

Even if you think a compiled language will be faster, it might still be interesting by roughly how much (5%, 10x or 100x?). This can help make the trade off decision.

And the published fees for large supermarkets are going down. Probably because they have the leverage and could even shape consumer behavior by making them used to some alternative.

I was thinking they might keep the lightning standard until they would finally remove all connectors from iPhones. But then the whole AirPower charging pad didn’t work out, so not sure why they wouldn’t switch over finally.

I’d start with assuming everyone’s experience is normal distributed. Someone who always voted 3 stars probably had the same experience as someone who always voted 5 stars. I’d try out computing the normal distribution of the rater and see w

Exactly, a long time between releases pushes teams to get their feature into this release even if just 90% ready. If the Mail.app team could ship updates not just annually, I’m sure they’d make faster progress and ship more stable releases.

I don't understand this backlog for airplanes (Boeing and Airbus): Is this kind of backlog normal in industrial scale? Is it not viable to scale up production with the massive tail of suppliers that would all need to scale up?

Would it also be ridiculous if a factory worker would be employed in one country and just cross the border to do a bit of factory work? All kinds of other local laws apply just by entering a country. How is minimum wage different?
