Safari was not forked from Chrome. Safari's engine, WebKit is an open-source browser engine originally forked from KHTML/KJS. Chrome's current engine, Blink is a fork of this.

You've been able to change the default browser on iOS for quite a while now. The underlying browser engine is the same, but non-technical users don't care and just want to sync bookmarks/passwords from Chrome/Firefox.

The best way to answer these questions, I think, is to just try them out. For instance, Haskell has a very advanced type system that you won't get from Typescript, and it might change the way you approach your work in other languages.

Interesting, makes sense. Deutsche Bank has a pretty bad reputation for money laundering, as does Germany in general and especially Berlin.

I'm presuming it's the latter, which is precisely the reason they have a reputation for being some of the most unbearable people in the tech community.

No this definitely happened in Germany too, Solaris has been around for a long time and a whole slew of German neobanks and trading apps have been built on top of it. You can open an account with most of them by downloading the app and doin

Speculating on what OP meant, but it might be generational, in Germany often older people won't speak English that well. Younger people will generally have done a lot more English in school, however, and tend to be better. This is gene

They don't specify what types of issues they had with FFI which makes me somewhat dubious of the outcome here. There are tools to help paper over the rough edges of calling code through FFI, at least with Rust. Maybe the reasoning is m

Swift itself still doesn’t self host and is approaching a version 6 release. I’m not a compiler developer but the outcome of all the discussions around this topic in the Swift community was that it wasn’t worthwhile yet.
