There’s like 3 magazines left in the USA this seems like the strawiest of men. Thoughtless, pointless rants add nothing to discourse.

>If it was really bad? Well, that’s enough of this thread for me. Unfuckingbelievable.

Yes there is and it’s magnificent. It’s called a A Short History of Nearly Everything, by Bill Bryson and he is an adopted national treasure in the UK (he is American, from Iowa I believe.)

If you hold down ‘space’ the cursor becomes Freeform. Works much better.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yeah bare metal is hard that's why it made me sit up a bit when I read your comment. PEEK AND POKE was precisely what I was thinking of! I guess there could be a layer of psuedo-assembly that has a com

AMA: How do you plan to go about the 'boot to basic' aspiration? Do you have a plan in your mind yet? I'd be super interested in this. I'd love to have or contribute to a computer that is instant on almost like the old B

That's a great idea! It'd be awesome if someone automated that and threw it up on github but that's just me being lazy.

If you also abstain from alcohol for the same reason then I applaud you. Alcohol has NO safe level of consumption. Unlike cannabis. If you say this while consuming other drugs that are harsher and less safe then you should do some self ref

You edited your posts, thank you for realising you'd gone too far. You used the words 'edgy' and 'pathetic' amongst others. I'm sure the edit history is available to mods if you wanna go there. I will no longer

Thank you. This is precisely what I wanted to reply but didn’t trust myself last night to not get in trouble with dang. He is the one who specifically brought up profits as a potential reason to accept catastrophe then got all offended and

As did Microsoft. They cared about businesses pirating office, teenagers and for home use, not so much. Ubiquity is it’s own reward.

Awesome! How?

by jamiek88 3y ago
Who the hell was talking about the marginal profits when the clear alternative is ‘occasional catastrophe’. What a ghoulish, inhumane, MBA (but i repeat myself) perspective.

I’ve often thought that it is impossible to 100% secure any software that accepts user input. I wonder if it can be proven?

Yep. It’s why the Texas situation is so silly.

Were you using a ‘D’ version? Like Claritin-D? I got that by accident once and my heart pounded like I was on speed. I’m highly sensitive to that stuff, same at the dentist the local anesthesia makes my heart race. Third generation antihist

What gives you that idea?! Heavy metals and pathogens being retained in fruit juices is widespread and heavily checked by USDA etc.

Even in mid range tech this is true. My fricken KIA of all things (EV6) has AWD and a ‘snow mode’ that is fucking magic . Climbing an iced over driveway on a hill in Utah on vacation while $90k big ass trucks were abandoned at the foot

Ugh. You’re one of those choral members looking down their noses at ‘popular music’. One of the many reasons I left and the groups fail to attract new members.

And it works well too. My Kia ev6 goes from 20 to 80 percent in 18mins. Leaving home on full charge gets me around 280 miles on freeway (Circa 310 just pootling round town ev’s are opposite to ice like that). It’s better to drive at normal

It’s possible. As in physics says it can be done. But it isn’t technically feasible, probably ever. There’s nothing in the laws of physics that prohibits us turning burned paper smoke back into a document and recover the information.
