The meaning of the term is not in dispute, but your interpretation of it is. I’m not asking a rhetorical question. I’m genuinely interested in your answer: why do you think steelmanning doesn't involve asking and listening?

1. You gotta start somewhere. Keep laughing at noobs though. 2. It says this person is new, and doesn’t have connections or inroads to get capital from “a big multi-manager”. 3. Sounds about right, but I disagree that the only way to go out

And why is it _never_ the reason given by the censors? When topics are banned, some banal comment about verifiability or some other non-descript reason is given. It's never "we believe this is causing too much drama and might esca

You can hedge short positions. Ekaros is saying that traders shouldn't rely on things like circuit breakers or rollbacks to save them when they make a bet with too much on the line.

I know someone who wrote a small app to control a LIFX globe in a similar fashion. When the next tram was 5-10 minutes away, it would light up green indicating now would be a good time to walk out the door. (data fetched from tramtracker.co

No, correct way around. Rollout of renewables to the scale that nuclear can achieve in 5-20 years is practically impossible. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.
