Not only trivia, but indeterminable trivia. An olympic-sized swimming pool has no maximum depth and therefore no maximum weight if filled with gold. I'd bet they're accepting /apply/* (type anything in and you get a log in screen with "real

I meant that you were mixing currencies, and 2000 quid is a lot more than 2000 bucks. I agree on the rate being high if you can do it in a day, but my personal experience is that clients like that are hard to find. Long-term clients who nee

Not sure which you meant, but they're both low. $2000!=£2000 My experience is that fussiness is inversely proportionate to price sensitivity. Now if a prospect tries to dicker over hundreds or tell me they "have a nephew who does this kind

Would you be okay with strip searches as a requirement for flying, and if not, is it only the time and inconvenience that would bother you, or something else?

I get it. You, like too many, think genitals are 'junk'. I am not ashamed of my body. I value my body and want to share it only with those I choose, not indiscriminately, and certainly not as a condition for flying. Forced or coerced nudity

The problem with this is that you're asking for the pat-down. If that's required to fly if I opt-out of the strip search, let them say so. "I opt out of the electronic strip search {.|because} {I believe in human dignity|it's silly|I am wor

I like the "warrant canary" idea implemented by rsync.net, but I'm not sure if courts would see ceasing regular announcements as violating a gag order. http://www.rsync.net/resources/notices/canary.txt

It might not be seen this way in general, which goes to the PR problem another poster mentioned, but my perception is that when someone markets something as über-, they mean it transcends or supersedes what they're prefixing. So not "cabs"

It still works, but now you have two URLs for one resource, and when you go to the original URL it redirects you to the #! path, which judging from my timeline, people notice.

Although it's a technical requirement in the current implementation of #newtwitter for the back button & crawling to work, I think part of the attraction of twitter was having your own simple URL. Now http://twitter.com/ev becomes ht

While I'm no fan of George W. Bush, it's hard to hypothesize about a past that never happened. So while not many people have that sentiment today, that's only because we picked one and didn't get to see what the other would've done.

Tweetmeme isn't a great example. They didn't get steamrolled—they now power the official Tweet Button, and they'll power (they are?) DataSift, which is going to give people crazy querying capability against real-time twitter data.
