Think of how much cheaper per kg it is to _prevent_ new plastic entering the ocean rather than pulling plastic from the middle of the ocean! Why on earth are we pulling ~100s of kg while there is still 8.8 million tonnes entering the ocean

This sounds like a fascinating social medium/"platform". Could you share more about the community or an article about it? I tried sending you an email but it bounced!

Note this was written in March, but provides a good overview on how E2EE would work with the DMA.

As an OpenStreetMap contributor I'm extremely grateful they are correctly attributing OSM (by the sounds of it). There are plenty [1] of sites & apps (some quite large) that don't correctly attribute OSM data according to the

If they start supporting Matrix this should be possible! It would be awesome if they supported Matrix - you could then archive many things via a bridge ( https://matrix.org/bridges/ ).

Mapbox has an API: https://www.mapbox.com/traffic-data I'm waiting for someone to build a Google Maps alternative (generic consumer oriented) product with Mapbox, their maps (OpenStreetMap based) are awesome.

I quite like SchildiChat ( https://schildi.chat/ ) for it's unified chat list on desktop! FluffyChat also has this layout on mobile. Since Element has recently got chat bubbles I'm enjoying it more though.

Has anyone considered building something like this for Matrix? There are lots of open-source communities there, I imagine it would be helpful for debugging (and discovery of Matrix itself).

For those who don't know - Eric's new company, Beeper [1], is a proprietary Matrix chat client with hosted Matrix bridges to other chat platforms. The bridges are open sourced which is a huge contribution to the Matrix ecosystem.
