I'm waiting for someone to build a Google Maps alternative (generic consumer oriented) product with Mapbox, their maps (OpenStreetMap based) are awesome.
- habi 4y ago(Not Mapbox [1], but) have you looked at https://www.qwant.com/maps/ https://www.qwant.com/maps/ ? Looks and feels a bit like Google Maps. I don’t know about traffic data, though. [1]: Qwant uses https://openmaptiles.org/ https://openmaptiles.org/
- jakecopp 4y agoYeah! I'm really supportive of their services. I've found their maps are very slow here in Australia (I assume their infra is Europe based), and the I find the geocoding frequently gives me objects in other countries when I know OSM has an object with that exact name in my map view, but I check up on it every so often.
- habi 4y ago> I assume their infra is Europe based Qwant is a French company, so yes: https://about.qwant.com/en/contact https://about.qwant.com/en/contact
