Not surprising. The media hyped up the app and the admin hyper focused on it. Was bound to happen eventually since Apple wants to play nice with the government. Nice thing is it isn't the only one and others are multiplatform instead o

I definitely appreciate the concise nature of the article. Doesn't waste my time at all. Whether that's due to the authors writing ability or some summery tool, I could care less.

I think we've settled on the idea that the bipedal human form is most efficient when it's a bit naive. The vacuum robot is more optimal because it's small form allows it to reach all parts of the floor and under small spaces

We don't need to guess here though. PIF and Silver Lake have a pretty solid track record of over-investing in companies. Affinity Partners seems to be a shell company for the Trump family so I don't see them being active.

Those are called custom ROM's and they are unaffected by this new restriction because it's a Google service which custom ROM's don't ship with. Same for older versions of HarmonyOS that run AOSP. Bigger issue there is th

Any other admin and Apple would sue them. But in this case I think Apple will just apologize to them for not removing the watermark. Very nice to see these out in the open though. Saves some work. Even if it is the 16e.

If you think being violently disruptive loses you support you should look at any equality movement. I'm not posing a false dilemma, I'm saying that when peaceful means are not working then violence will follow. "A riot is the

Sitting at a lunch counter was illegal and the punishment was widely viewed as too light for the protesters. Like the racist violence going on right now, people of color were framed as disturbing the peace and disturbing a private business.

The classic "an effective protest is one that is neither seen nor heard". Which is just ahistorical. Civil rights in the US was not passed because black folks explained to white people that they are people deserving the same right

It definitely depends on the proximity to the genocide itself. Plenty of Americans easily call what happened with the Uyghurs in China a genocide. And if they know about, the genocide in Sudan a genocide as well. But when it comes to Israel

Wow, they actually are pulling back. That is really surprising. Wonder if they see the winds changing on this issue and want to get on the right side of history. Big props to everyone at Microsoft who spoke out about this and risked or lost

A change in webkit (which both OS's have used forever) somehow means they are merging iOS and macOS? I'm not following this logic at all.
