Right but that’s got nothing to with consequences. You’re annoyed that the consequence is… the consequence. Instead of what? Some abstract punitive ideal?

lol, no. Confidential business information is an area heavily protected by law. Customer lists are the canonical example. It’s much easier to win this kind of civil suit than a criminal case. The court can absolutely crush a business that i

I don't know, there's plenty of people competing over social progress, competing over moral progress, and completing over leisure. I suspect that Mr Mill would take a dim view of this.

There seems to be a misunderstanding here, backups in cloud storage are a fraction of the cost of data in Firebase. I used to work with a 300GB Firebase instance and we never worried about backup costs.

Most of the time, yeah that's how it plays out; it's easy to start from a blank slate. But where I differ is that I'd claim that most early startups don't even have much velocity. They don't actually move with speed

PDFBox can do this but to have to build the CLI tool yourself from this example: https://github.com/apache/pdfbox/blob/5b00807463279f1002e245... Everything about PDF signatures is maddeningly complex.
