That's me also. Maybe not fair as I'm more likely to be the boss since I have 20+ years of experience but no way am I working under those constraints.

So I'm an app developer, native iOS and Android. It's my passion, enough that I've decided to work in server side and data engineering instead of app dev in my day job after being a mobile dev for 7+ years. I watch all the WW

Not the Parent but the orignal numbers come form the CDC but I'm not sure where the graph is from. Here are links to the last two years of data, embedded in a comment I made on HN recently: From the CDC: In 2019, a total of 2,854,838 r

Is VSCode's Jupyter extension much better than PyCharm's? Just curious, I prefer PyCharm over VSCode for normal python dev work. By a lot but I get it's personal preference, so I'm curious.

I use PyCharm's Juypter plugin and it's seemed far better for me. I work in Python everyday but I'm more on the data engineering and app security/architecture side of things than straight up Data Science. I don't us

I hated my Surface Pro when I had, granted this was 3 years ago. It had terrible battery life, windows was horrible with the touchscreen, very few apps responded to touch events at all let alone correctly. All together one of the worst lapt

I understand how both work and I LOVE both push button starting modern cars and computing appliances. I'd rather have an iPad and all the extra time it saves me to learn new things than fuddle with a desktop PC. Just like owning a Tesl

I honestly think there is a case for removing this post as misinformation. At least adding a note or something. In general I'd expect the level of conversation to be higher on HN than this. 0.2% is a ridiculous and dangerously bad bit

How can you say they have zero skin in the game after watching video after video after video of Black people being murdered. After an elected president brags about sexual assault. After Asian hate crimes are occurring all over the country.

When you have a two party system and no one outside of their narrow policy definitions can be elected (not as it's illegal but as in not one can overcome the completely biased system) you vote for a representative is a de-facto vote fo

I have done this, I moved to Southern Maine from Ohio. A large reason was the political environment. The problem is that most people aren't satisfied with live and let live. You can see this in the flooding of courts with conservative
