He wouldn't have been able to raise $25m if he was paying himself that much. Investors are very sensitive to founders who pay themselves enough to live comfortably. Sadly this biases investors towards funding either the young and the r

I think you're exactly right. I see this as the "Peace for Our Time"[1] deal that people will get excited about now, and cause us to take our eye off the real danger. Until tragedy happens. But maybe I'm just a pessimist

Not politically feasible. Older citizens tend to both have a lot of savings, and vote. They would not allow this to happen.

I been trying to open JUMP inside Uber for the past 2 weeks. Every time I click the "Bike" tab, the app crashes. Now that it's all the same company, maybe they can figure out how to integrate it properly?

Anything like this for VSCode? Just adding option-space accidentally in a ruby file (after an `end`) will cause ruby to explode and not tell you anything. Randomly deleting code until it runs was my only fix.

Why does it matter if some people are underutilizing cores on their laptop? Mine are constantly pegged (developer running a lot of different heavy processes) and I'd appreciate the ability to pay more for an upgrade. There are many oth

Glad to see they're moving beyond Cordova's main issue: trying to fully automate the native build processes with disastrous results. I am perfectly happy opening up Xcode to build and configure. Same with Android Studio. Trying to

I'm not actually complaining, I'm happy the webpack team is making improvements so fast. The reason I upgrade so often is they actually make meaningful fixes. Bugs that I find tend to be in github issues as closed and available in

Haha, pretty much my life every 3 months. Welcome to the new world of frontend development. Luckily the bad also comes with the good. Adding and upgrading components off npm in a webpack project is almost always a breeze.

I've been using and relying on MongoDB for years (since 2010). It's pleasant to develop for, the query interface is awesome, and the library / ORM support is top notch (Mongoid on ruby, and Mongoose on node). I also use Postg

Right, I meant organization data meaning who people are emailing, calendars, etc for building CRMish software on top. Wasn't tryint to imply you share any of that data. Just poorly worded on my part, sorry bout that.
