I also removed the last traces of EmberJS from our apps last year. It was a great feeling. Ember was fun and productive initially, but eventually turned into a quagmire when the app got larger. Seems like most people I knew in the community

Maybe it's a glass half full scenario? I'm pretty happy the nanny state allows blood/gore at least. Imagine if they were consistent and movies/tv/video games were also whitewashed of blood too. What a miserable medi

Lots of great advice in this thread, heed it. I would just add -- embrace the challenge. It actually sounds like a fun problem. After many years in tech, I've learned that I'd rather work on improving a pile of shit codebase that

Wow, thanks for the clarification. Totally missed this part. After having already evangelized this with my coworkers, I may need to take it back. If they made the core open and allowed users to use this language independently of their onlin

Maybe it'll show up in their usage numbers. I stopped using IG because it's near impossible not to prevent the sound from blasting from accidentally scrolling or clicking on a reel. I feel like a product team that gave any shit wh

Wow, seriously nice work. Downloaded it and started playing around. Pretty much exactly the features I wanted from a CMS. Both simple and powerful. I attempted to build a CMS years ago and this is pretty much exactly what I wanted to create

Yeah, even as a frontend dev myself... half of these I haven't heard of. Frontend dev tools desperately needs some consolidation. Everyone seems to be trying to solve the exact same problems over and over again.

Tough to justify watching a movie when I know it might be costing my library $152 for choosing to watch an obscure title.

Amazing visualization. Much harder (and useful) would be to show the 10 cheapest airports to fly to from any given spot.

Speed. I used Atom for a couple years, but quickly switched to VSCode once it was viable as it was the first electron editor to actually be "fast enough" for me.

Tried using Zelle last month to pay back a friend, and it triggered a fraud alert. They called me, we spent half hour on the phone verifying everything. Then the next day they locked my bank account. Took me a week to get it back, after hou
