Amen. In Italy and France (probably elsewhere as well), you maybe tip a percent or two if you really think it's deserved; albeit, tourists are ruining that to some extent. But fair salaries are baked (or cooked) into the prices

It reminds me of all those people saying wysiwyg editors would kill the need to know HTML. Really, they made it possible for developers to work on more complicated and exciting projects. Uncle Phil wants help with his flower store website?

Unless you're in the business of money, you shouldn't really be doing it yourself, so the important TLDR is: > Obviously it’s not fun living in that fear, which is why I believe that services like Stripe, that help you out with

It's really just a matter of time until such manufacturing has a viable open source mainstream alternative. Then we can look forward to small dev shops building affordable custom robots for everyday use.

Again, semantics, but I'd say it's more akin to a kid breaking into school, not the teacher's home. Or, more likely, the teacher's briefcase. Yes, using a computer feels a lot like going to an actual physical place. But

More important than good code is shipped code. I'd say about half my bad code is due to inexperience, what the post is referring to. As time goes on it DOES get better, especially since -- like most of you -- I'm constantly readin

This happens a lot, before using any service by Google I tend to ask myself, twice, "if they shut this down, which they might very well do, what is my backup plan?" Honestly, it's hard to make a good case to rely on them for
