Out of curiosity, why was it necessary to be in beta for over two years? Doesn't seem like the technology would take that long to develop.

The best target customer for this sort of business would be angels, particularly unsophisticated angels. VCs have associates to do the due diligence grunt work, but angels have no such resource.

Okay, maybe it varies by subject. I know that for a few domains that I've explored (econ and finance) no schools allow deferrals.

Not sure I agree with that; I would suggest that the opposite is true. Top-tier PhD programs almost never allow students to defer an acceptance offer, so the person in question would need to re-apply. Being accepted becomes substantially m

Fair enough, maybe I shouldn't have used the words "game theory" because, as you point out, the challenge includes game theory but is broader than that. I see poker as a giant optimization puzzle with a bunch of moving parts. I use a numbe

It depends on what your site is worth and how much traffic you are driving. If you are Google, it's a no brainer. If you're getting 1k uniques/mo, it's a needless expense. The tipping point lies somewhere in between. My guess is on the
