A go-to architecture topic of mine for backend engineer interviews is to design a webhook system (the push side). I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of it because depending on the person’s experience dealing with a running production system,

I see some Google Cloud folks in the comments, so question for you, if you're able to share: There seems to be a general fear about Google potentially killing off a product, based on recent history [1]. Now I know most of these are on

Thanks for sharing your podcast! Just subscribed. To add yet another data point, we use Clickhouse as well for centralized logging for the SaaS version of our open source product, and can't imagine what we would have done without it.

I’m sad/surprised that a project with almost 8K stars on GitHub is dead. Does anyone know why they decided to not build/maintain it anymore?

Thought it was interesting that Netlify has filed a trademark application for "Jamstack", along with a music gear company.

At least with RDBMS, the database engine takes care of the actual data movement for you, after you issue a SQL command. With NoSQL, when you need to update your document format, you now need to handle the data migration yourself.

I wish this existed years ago when I had to figure out how to programmatically send out calendar invites. There were some quirks with how Outlook handled them vs Google Calendar and it was a time-consuming trial-and-error process. Congrats

From my past experience, micro-frontends were awesome and liberating... in the beginning. Every team gets their own deploy pipeline and can deploy changes independent of each other, with their own error boundaries - awesome! Over time thoug
