Those of us holding off for Web Components? That being said, I'm quite excited for React Native.

IRC freenode #$YOUR_LANGUAGE_OR_TOOL_HERE But that's pretty niche. About a generalized chat, I agree with you. I wish there was a Slack channel used exclusively and extensively by hackers in my city (London). Maybe you could start one?

That's an aggravating chart for colorblind users.

target _blank is evil. bad UX to control the user behavior. use your middle-click or ctrl/cmd+click if you want this silly feature.

Possibly a bit too much. Forgetting there is even a link aspect to this site means I'm missing out on a great deal. I should probably read more articles, but gosh darn it, you all are so interesting. Between HN, reddit and YouTube, I&#

It's crazy to see how far @aprilzero has come with this. Actually bringing his idea to life, and turning it into a profitable business. There's a lesson to be learnt here in regards to working passionately and finishing your side-

I know. But my comment was directed at OP, who seems pretty unfamiliar with JS, and would more likely know what ES6 is. Also, I didn't want to write "2015" twice.

If you're still whining about the "JavaScript Problem" in 2015 without trying ES6, it's going to be hard to take you seriously.

We moved to Gogs. GitLab was too slow, and started giving us random 500 errors (fatal bug). Overall, it's been more enjoyable than Gitlab. Things I don't like: * No pull requests / issues * No deploy keys * It's a full o

> ...what is the regular price? It's nowhere on the site, which is quite intransparent. Good job skirting this question. Trying to give you the benefit of doubt here, so mind giving us an answer on the regular price? Cheers

This is the single reason why I refuse to buy anything but MacBooks. I suggest you give them a try, because this problem is eliminated on the Apple ecosystem.

The only time I ever give fraternities any thought is when a college student on HN asks my opinion on them. Hopefully that hints at an answer to your question.

Because in doing so they relinquish complete control in favor of io.js interests. I'm rooting for io.js, but this proposal amounts to what is essentially a takeover, not a merge.

One minor grievance I have with the Firefox console is the input line is all the way at the bottom. I quite like Chrome's approach of starting at the top. Firefox has a few of these irritating UX quirks that I just can't get over.

Unless you can lock in the early bird, I don't believe there's any point in pledging. I just about scraped through and pledged $179 + $10, which puts me about $20 ahead of the final cost (assuming shipping will stay the same).

Bullshit. In a scientific setting, would you start your sentence as, "MRNA is the messenger RNA"? Somethings are purposefully stylized differently. mRNA, iPhone, io.js, etc. Naming conventions should be respected to aid clarity.

Lot of competition for remote work, so you'd be extremely lucky to find anything at your skill-level. It seems like your attitude is well suited to development, though I think you have some ways to go yet.

Having just spent more time at work this week creating PR for bugs in npm modules, instead of doing actual work... I'm starting to agree. But honestly I think that's just par for the course for any substantially popular language.

So is this is a growing sentiment? Recall that TJ famously left Node.js in favor of Go. I find Node downright amazing for web development. npm has everything you could ask for. And the whole community takes the unix philosophy and runs with
