I think a big difference is that other forces (electroweak, strong) can be thought as mediated by exchange of some virtual bosons. Quantum gravity would use gravitons, but this isn’t how GR works.

Rodale compares their own experimental farm, not organic yields on real commercial organic farms (many of which are run for more than 5 years). Their conventional yield is also on their farm, not real conventional farms. Edit: Looking a bit

The problem is that we currently have starvation due to poor distribution of food. Rich people can afford higher prices and will continue to waste (in fact, lots of rich people already eat organic), while the poor will feel the squeeze.

I am not OP but this is a nice meta-study https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fsufs.2019.0008... Looking at yields only (which is a small part of the study; sustainability depends on many other factors) i

But all of these CB backed digital currencies aren’t like crypto. CBs will presumably be roots of trust and just maintain entries in a normal database.

That’s very biased. Importantly the fed wallet is interest free, banks should compete with it in the same way they compete with cash under the mattress — by providing interest.

This is just not true for at least a few years now. Most people I know who do have a win10 box as well as my own experience neither run additional antivirus software nor have any malware related issues. This includes a bunch of elderly fami

I literally have no ads I deal with on win10? I don’t use windows store or xbox store or whatever. On the other hand, my Ubuntu mountain lion desktop so far: 1. Died because somehow kernel upgrade failed and I had to manually roll back 2. H

To be fair, even now, in 2020, even with something user friendly like Ubuntu, on desktop, the win10 experience is way smoother and less liable to crash.

It makes more sense if edge and safari are spun out as well. I think in general we can’t just break up google and let everyone else alone, it has to be wide scale otherwise the other giants will just gobble up the difference. Regarding Mozi

Payment for default search engine settings. Similar to Mozilla and will make browser wars less one sided. I, for one, would welcome forced spin-out of chrome/edge/safari.

I run an ad blocker, but I’ve also occasionally clicked on ads. Usually it was some cool looking gadget or clothing item, not sure if I ever purchased through ad-initiated interaction, but it definitely made me aware of products.

This is not how it works in actuality [0]. Wages are market, not productivity, driven. Even if particular work-field doesn’t increase in productivity, aggregate wage increases (due to perhaps aggregate productivity increases or change in la

Market "dealing" with it means high recidivism. It's the tragedy of the commons. It might be in everyone's individual interest to not hire an ex-felon, but it leads to a worse outcome for everyone.
