Surprisingly, what really helped me become more productive and able to focus... is a pair of headsets with noise cancelling and music. It really sets my mood to "work".

Great quality post. I'd like to see more things like this on HN. Interesting and I learnt a lot about emojis and UTF.

I've been drinking a large cup when I wake up and another cup at 3pm for 6 years straight. I fear it's already too late for me.

I'm using both study-guides for 1Z0-815 & 1Z0-816, and I've found one course on Udemy for the new 1Z0-819. Is there someone who's studying for it and/or knows better resources to get ready for the exam?

Depending where you're based this isn't true. At my country in Europe I could earn 1000€ / month cleaning offices and common Programmer salaries' are 1200 - 1500€ / month

Yes, personally I'd go live to China for a while before than to the US. All isn't as white and black as "we have ideals and they're the baddies". The US has a lot of negative things too like x40 guns per citizen [0]

Care to share why? I'd like to help, but the trouble is how am I sure that the money goes to the pockets of people who need it and not to some CEO's holiday?

wow, really nice IMO. I'd be interested in seeing the spider and crawlers to do this, as it's something similar to other project I want to do.

I just started Permanent Record, by Edward Snowden. I thought it was going to be more tech-heavy, but, at least the start, seems to be more on the memoirs side.

Isn't this wrong? At Google's Storage options, it says Google doesn't have Backup or Disaster Recovery options. As long as I know, aren't those types into Cloud Storage - nearline and coldline object storage types?

I tried upwork 4 different times with no luck. It doesn't matter how low I offered my job for or how many offers I sent. It's almost impossible to get started there as a developer.
