In soceity there seems to exist a belief that the largest emergencies are "hard", like police, firemen etc. I want to see more about social "soft" emergencies where we focus more on the above. That is the reason for most

A summer house by the beach with no electricity does the job fine. That's our way of dealing with it. I feel that's more about being able to turn off now and then rather than banning. Learning to control the devices rather than th

I think you will see great change if you were to look at the personalities around one opportunity. Because it's never problems really, it's perceived that way though. A certain challange needs a specific set of personalities to so

It's like a runner that runs laps, if they can keep going they will. Sometimes they need support but then they only do a pit stop. Getting information or acquire a skill with that state of mind makes you only learn what seems essential

Thanks, this summarizes my thoughts quite neatly. And most importantly, love yourself and don't let others disinterest get to your spirit of making good.

I can't respond directly to kissorgy because of shadow ban I guess. Anyway, yes the author says we are worse today, but keep in mind that we "just" connected a few billion devices. It will take a massive effort to get that fi

I asked my SO recently how she view the Internet, what it is and how it works. She was honest and told me that, "If I click this button, this websites loads. If that works I'm fine! If it doesn't I will call you. Don't s

Going to a bar sober is fine, just start talking about philosophy with people until they stop leaving, sit down with that person and chat for the rest of the night. I wrote poems and drank milk, worked out fine. Being normal is for wimps!

And I just realised that it should not be that hard to control the interface via dbus to networkd. Coreos even made a complete systemctl dbus integration.

Totally agree. I find network management bad wherever you go. Systemd-networkd is fine layout wise, it's just the tooling that could be improved upon. Also here you see the problem with systemd-networkd being shipped together with syst

The problem is rather how the troubleshooting works. You don't know how the network will be parsed or which statements that works with your version. Very difficult to debug when it doesn't behave as it should. After a lot of fiddl

The best is to have a secret phone like secure folder or private space. Thus you are protected even if someone makes you unlock the phone.
