Unpopular opinion, but most of what Apple is saying is objectively true.

Regardless, all this opinionated settings should be by OS maintainers or similar. I don’t see why a low level init system tries to make decisions for others. Yes, it may be with good intentions, but don’t.

Absolutely. I don’t use Facebook the social media platform, or instagram, and I only reluctantly use WhatsApp - but Facebook as a company for software engineering seems excellent. They also seem to genuinely take care of their employees (th

It just works. You may think that this is a meme, but it really is not. Let’s say you and someone else that you wish to communicate with has an iPhone (parent, SO, friend, whoever) and things just click into place. - Extremely responsive, n

Regardless of what everyone is saying about the controller, I think the pilots behavior was disrespectful (to both ATC and to the lives of those on their plane) and unprofessional. You don’t get to cry wolf and cut the line because you were

Very apt, because the mosquito will be fine in most situations where a shotgun is used.

Actually not really, the ads on the rest of the strip are by far more obnoxious than the ones on the sphere. Whether it’ll stay that way, I’ve doubts, but for now in a city of gimmicky shit, this is in good taste.

Yeah if you’re making an orgy with shaders they should just let it stay up out of pure respect. Also warning for the future reader: the link in the parent comment is NSFW.

Well it’s good that you have the choice to; but it’s also not all that difficult to understand that not everyone who needs to use your script, has that choice.

While this is intriguing, SQL has been around because it’s good and the right tool. In fact, more devs should be picking it up.

It’s an interesting paper by credible academics but the name is just downright terrible. I suppose I’m extra annoyed because I don’t really have an interest in LLMs to begin with but I do in operating systems.

I suppose this is sarcasm but if not, no, the title is correct. A lot of the early internet and very useful chunks of the kernel was built for credit and acknowledgment. Not granting that, especially when it wasn’t a horribly buggy patch wi

Actually BOM will differ because lightning can do USB2 so it’s probably reusing the same chip. USB-C needs a different chip and is harder to route too so I’m not surprised.
