Exactly. And in doing so that would tell me you will be more committed to your business. Interesting - someone should do it. Now, is anyone on here not busy?

Why not set up a kiva-like site for American startups? Oh, hang on - Kiva has virtually no defaulters on its loans, so maybe scrap that idea.

I appreciate this is a YCombinator start-up, so apologies for being a little negative. Firstly I think the app itself looks good, but I visit a lot of sites and I was alarmed at the space being taken up after just a couple of hours of use.

Good luck to them if they can get this. I'm sure that the 3-days will have some caveat and they did say 1.0 in this time. If you were large enough, and had the funds, you might go to these guys to get something out the door quickly. From a

Under Linux we use Rsync. Its great and only the changed portions of changed files are updated. Under Windows I use Viono Backup (www.vionobackup.com). Its in beta at the moment, but this is secure and encrypted and works similar to Rsync

What I'm wondering is if it would be possible to use some kind of algorithm such as Bayesian where an individual could select the articles they like and the ones they don't so that the site would start to deliver more specific content.

What you are talking about is the deep web I think and I don't think anyone has managed this yet! Essentially you want a system that can fill in forms and pull back results. I think it needs to be done on a per-site basis
