That's not true, and it's not even what the article claims. It says it's not the strictest in the country, which is true. From the article: > Seven states receive higher grades than Illinois in the latest Law Center to Pre

Why should the whole country be compared to anywhere though? The idea (implicitly) is that it gives you a sense of what it's like to live in the US. But no one lives in the whole country. People live in a particular area, usually one s

While we're at it, if you support the 1st amendment, what solution do you have in store for threats, incitement, defamation etc? What about the 4th amendment - presumably you have a solution to people hiding evidence of crimes right? A

People do this all the time. There are companies that specialize in it. I've often had cars inspected remotely, but always by having the seller bring it to a specialist shop. My experience with this kind of thing has been that it'

You're blurring the distinction between power and influence. Politicians don't get power from wealthy donors - they get power from votes. Wealthy people have influence - that is the ability to persuade people, bribe people etc.

I wish people would stop writing this as e^(i*pi) + 1 = 0. That deliberately obscures the meaning behind this formula. It's only zero because it happens that sin(pi)=0 and cos(pi)=-1. The real equation is e^(i*theta) = i*sin(theta) +
