These are remarkably dishonest and bad reasons. 1. This is meaningless. 2. This is FAR more a factor of lifestyle choices than CoL. I've lived in extremely high and extremely low CoL places and there is not a big difference. I have a $

IMO a better advantage is that you can hire talent from anywhere, without the caveat that they have to uproot their life to join your team. Paying local market rate is shitty (generally) and reduces your competitiveness against other remote

Every in-office job I've had has been the same way. Not that we didn't ever talk in person, but so much of the normal communication happened over text, even if we were in the same room.

Overall, I agree with your point, but it's definitely a fallacy that if you do bad things it nullifies good things that you do. If (for example) you thought that eating vegan was better ethically or environmentally, eating vegan only o

Yeah, Boise is already exploding hence I didn't mention it (not familiar with the tech scene there, but I think it's one of the fastest growing cities in the country).

The entire Mountain West. Bozeman has a pretty decent, and growing tech scene. Missoula is okay (shoutout Submittable and a few others).

Google decided to rename the street that I live on (and get rid of my actual address) a few years ago. It took about 2 years for my correction to be approved. It was really fun directing people "oh it's really easy to get here but

Completely agree. Calories in/out is a gross oversimplification. It's not wrong, it's just not particularly relevant. One thing I thought Taubes did a good job of was illustrating the relationship between calories in and calo

The problem is that the two parties capture huge swaths of people based on issues that are important to that person, not to the party. There is no real unified platform from either of the two major parties, just look at this (rough, off the
